Do I need previous experience within the care sector?
While relevant qualifications and experience are valuable, our priority is finding caregivers that are compassionate, kind, and have unique personal qualities that will help them to connect with our clients. We provide comprehensive training and support to help you develop your skills.
What training does Dovida provide?
We offer comprehensive initial training, ongoing professional development, and regular support from our trainer and office team. Dovida has its own training academy where our training programs focus on supporting older people in their own homes and includes specialist Dementia and Palliative Care workshops.
What types of home care services does Dovida offer?
We offer a full range of home care services from 2 hours, right up to 24-hour care. Take a look at our services page to find out more.
Do I need to be able to drive?
Yes, you need to have a full New Zealand Drivers Licence and access to a registered and insured vehicle to become a Dovida’s caregiver
